Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club

A marvellous 27 championship course on the sunny Atlantic coast of southern Spain. Designed by José María Olazabal Costa Ballena Ocean course is an intriguing layout on level terrain alongside the wide sandy beaches of the Costa de la Luz. The magnificent course has 27 championship holes with sculpted fairways, studded with stately palm trees, and dotted with lakes and bunkers. Players of any level are tested, but no matter one´s level, everybody will emjoy this superbly designed course. The centerpiece is the huge all grass driving range which allows 120 players to practice at the same time. And for those who wish to practice at night, the range can be floodlit. For practicing the short game, there are two large chipping and pitching greens. The gigantic putting green with many levels and slopes will hone the putting. There is also a 9 hole Executive course to work on the short game. The European PGA Tour recognizes Costa Ballena Ocean Course´s caliber of golf and has used it as one of the European Tour Qualifying School courses since 2005. Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club doesn´t belong to any hotel, but there are outstanding hotels with SPAs directly at the course. It is located just south of Seville and Jerez, so there is plenty of sightseeing to enjoy and Andalusian cuisine and wines to savor when you are not on the golf course. The ancient city of Rota is full of Moorish history and offers excellent hotels and seafood restaurants.
